It’s that time of year again, folks. The CrossFit Games Open is right around the corner and if you were with us last year you remember how much fun we had!
The Open is great because not only does it bring our community together over the course of five weeks, but also because it forces us to take a good look at ourselves and the areas that we need improvement. When it comes to CrossFit there are so many things we need to work on (gymnastics, weightlifting, endurance, etc.) and not everyone needs work in the same areas. This is why we created our Open Prep Course! A six week course dedicated completely to you and what you need.
How Does It Work?
Each athlete in the course will get a completely customized program. That means sitting down with a coach, discussing your weaknesses, testing you on specific benchmark workouts, analyzing the results, and developing a program that suits you and your unique needs.
Will This Course Be Coached?
Yes, but not in the way you are accustom to. During this course there will be three dedicated open gym hours every week. During this time there will be coaches present to guide you through a warm up and answer any questions you have about your personal program. Everyones program will be different so during these open gym hours a coach will be floating around the gym cuing you, making adjustments to your technique, and ensuring the you are attacking your workout with the right intensity.
Schedule and Sign Up
Open Prep Course will run from January 9 – February 18. Coached open gym hours will be on Mondays & Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00-10:00am.
Sign up closes December 20 in order to give athletes enough time to test the their benchmark workouts and allow coaches to develop each athletes individual program. Upon signing up each athlete will be given a score card that will need to be returned to their coach with the results of their benchmark workouts by December 31.
