Making decisions can be exhausting. The minute your alarm goes off in the morning the choices begin. You need to decide whether or not to hit the snooze button, then you have to decide what to wear and what to eat for breakfast.
When you get in the car you have to decide what music to listen to and the fastest way to get to work and then once you’re at work let’s not even thinking about the hundreds of decision you need to make to get by.
By the time the day ends you’ve made so many choices that all you want to do is go home, get on the couch and turn your brain off. The last thing you want to do is drive to the gym, find a parking spot, and change into your workout clothes. But you do anyway because you know you’re supposed to and if you don’t you’ll feel guilty.
When you finally get to the gym the choices start all over again as you navigate through the endless possibilities of machines and ellipticals that never seem to be able to help you get where you want to go.
Inevitably you leave the gym disappointed and exhausted only to realize that now you need to fuel your body with healthy foods to help you recover and get ready for the next day. Again, more choices.
