“I started CrossFit after I moved to Baltimore after college. Unhappy with the crowds and my workout regiment at the generic gym I decided to try the CrossFit gym on my block. I committed to trying it for six months and now I’d have a tough time going back to a traditional gym.
My first impression was I couldn’t believe how out of shape I was. I still feel this way only because I have now set higher goals. My old workout method would have never gotten me this far.
My favorite part of CrossFit is that each day is different but everyone in the class works through the same movements. It’s pretty easy to scale the workout to your ability level but also feel like you are working out together. I think the community aspect helps motivate me.
I think CrossFit has improved my mental toughness. I think the difficulty of the workouts helps me overcome daily tasks, problems, and roadblocks. “
