Over the weekend, I had a member ask me who writes our blog.
It’s not the first time I’ve been asked that question.
I can see how someone might assume that we buy articles online or pay for a company that sends out weekly emails.
Services like that do exist, but we don’t use them.
For me, writing these blog posts is an opportunity to connect with someone I may have never met before.
Arsenal has been open for just about six years, and in that time, I’ve talked to thousands of people who all have questions about fitness nutrition.
This blog attempts to answer some of the most common questions we get asked each week to help point you in the right direction.
DECIDING WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT
Developing ideas for content is pretty straightforward.
First, we take the questions asked by you and our members. Those are the most important ones and the ones that I have the most fun answering.
Next, we look through social media and popular fitness magazines.
There is so much misinformation being tossed in your face every day.
Like – SO. MUCH.
If Instagram knows you have any interest in working out, they flood your feed with an endless mob of social media influencers who each have their life-changing program you can buy.
Mainstream media isn’t much better.
If you pick up two different fitness magazines, chances are the headlines on the covers will contradict themselves.
Finding reliable information is challenging, and it’s why I publish as much as possible to help cut through the noise.
THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE BEING TOLD
The truth is that pretty much everything works if you work it.
It doesn’t matter if you count macros, carb load, or do keto.
You can focus your workout on cardio, gymnastics, or lifting weights.
It doesn’t matter.
Maximizing your health and fitness is about consistency.
The important part is finding what you love, what works for you and sticking with it.
Sure, some things will work better for specific goals, and having a coach who understands what you’re hoping to accomplish will be an enormous help along the way.
WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST STRUGGLE WITH FITNESS OR NUTRITION
Like, I said, answering your questions is one of my favorite things to do. I opened Arsenal to help people like you live their best lives through fitness and nutrition coaching.
