Whether you love or hate gymnastic movements, they are a crucial part of CrossFit. Just like your job, if you want to improve and get better you have to put in the time and effort.
So what will the Arsenal Gymnastics Course improve?
- Increased Body Positioning and Awareness
One of the most important things in gymnastics is being able to move our body freely, yet controlled. Meaning if we can’t properly kip or hold a handstand, how can we expect to get a pull-up, muscle-up, or handstand push-up.
2. Accessory Work and Skill that directly translate to strength gains and long-term health
You hear this in class over and over but without the appropriate strength to do strict movements, we should not be worrying about advanced kipping movements. Instead, we should be working on improving our lat and shoulder strength that will keep us healthy and happy in the long run.
3. Fine-tuning skills that will increase speed and efficiency in workouts
You’ve probably heard the saying Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast. This means moving too fast and rushing movements increases the chance of mistakes, which ultimately slows you down. Moving carefully and deliberately with a mind for the technique will help reduce fumbling and needless mistakes. This is, in my opinion, the biggest mistake athletes make in regards to gymnastics.
Each session will end with a gymnastic focused WOD that will force you to be efficient and challenge you to hang on for bigger sets!
Level 1 Arsenal 6-week Gymnastics Course:

Tier 1-Group sessions + 1-30 min Personal Training Session ($160 for Members, $210 for non-members)
Tier 2-Group sessions + 3-30 min Personal Training Session ($240 for members, $290 for non-members)
Tier 3-Group sessions + 6-30 min Personal Training Session ($360 for members, $410 for non-members)
IS THIS APPROPRIATE FOR ME? If you are someone who wants to get better at gymnastics movements and willing to put in the work then YES! All strength/skill work can be modified to fit an athlete’s current level. Scaling options will also be provided during every workout.
Level 2 Arsenal 6-week Gymnastics Course
WHEN: March 31-May 9th T @ 7:30pm, Sat @ 10am
Tier 1-Group sessions + 1-30 min Personal Training Session ($160 for Members, $180 for non-members)
Tier 2-Group sessions + 3-30 min Personal Training Session ($240 for members, $260 for non-members)
Tier 3-Group sessions + 6-30 min Personal Training Session ($360 for members, $380 for non-members)
IS THIS APPROPRIATE FOR ME? Due to the nature of the Level 2 course, there are some prerequisites required to taking this class. Athletes should be able to complete (Females- 3 unbroken pull-ups, 3 unbroken HSPU, and 3 unbroken T2B (Males- 5 unbroken pull-ups, 5 unbroken HSPU, 5unbroken T2B)
